I am blessed and more than a little surprised by where this adventure has taken me.
As a focused, professional business woman, I never imagined that “Yoga Instructor” would be added to my CV, but God has a way of changing plans and I am grateful for the intervention. When I invite people into my yoga practice, there is a great joy in my spirit. A joy that I hope comes out to the people practicing with me.
In 2016 I took a certification in trauma sensitive yoga and was blown away by two things. One, the way that our bodies have been designed to live through large amounts of stress and trauma. Two, that our bodies have been designed to heal from large amounts of stress and trauma. That is my hope, that people who need to find restoration, healing, and peace will find their way into one of my classes and give themselves space to heal and learn skills for life on and off of their yoga mats.
Yoga as a therapy has been given a lot of attention in the western world recently. Bringing these principles to my home in Jordan was important to me because Jordan has taught me so much and I want to give something back to the country that I love.
I work alongside the therapists in the office to offer one-on-one or group classes for those working through anxiety, addictions, trauma, and stress as well as offering people an opportunity to take part in classes regardless of whether or not they are seeing a therapist. I look forward to seeing you in class in the near future.
